Parent-Led Coaching with Family Involvement
Supporting parents to understand, respond to, and transform their child’s behaviour.

My work focuses on helping parents build the confidence, insight and tools to support their children - whether challenges relate to attention and focus, emotional regulation, anxiety, or self-esteem. Most sessions take place with parents during the day, allowing us to work calmly and consistently on strategies that fit your family’s routines.

When it’s useful, I may also meet your child or teenager - often early on - to gain a fuller picture and help strengthen the connection between what happens in sessions and at home.

Understanding Behaviour

Every child’s behaviour communicates something. Together we look beneath the surface, considering underlying influences such as attention differences, ADHD traits, sensory needs or emotional stressors to understand what’s really going on.

Focus areas include:
-
Attention, focus and executive-function challenges
-
Emotional regulation and managing overwhelming feelings
-
Anxiety, confidence and transitions
-
Social understanding and communication difficulties
Understanding the ‘why’ behind the behaviour helps parents move from frustration to insight and action.
Building Confidence & Connection
Parent coaching sessions focus on developing positive strategies and consistent responses. You’ll learn to guide behaviour while protecting the relationship - helping your child feel safe, understood and supported.

Focus areas include:
-
Positive parenting strategies tailored to your child’s needs
-
Coaching parents to stay calm and confident through everyday struggles
-
Understanding triggers and reframing challenges
-
Enhancing communication and empathy
-
Strengthening emotional connection and trust

Small changes in approach can create big shifts in family calm and connection.

Creating Calm & Routine
Predictable routines help children thrive — particularly those who struggle with attention, focus or transitions. Together we design realistic structures that reduce stressful situations, build independence and resilience.

Focus areas include:
-
Building daily routines that support positive behaviour
-
Encouraging self-management and responsibility
-
Introducing visual aids, planners and focus tools
-
Creating smoother mornings, evenings and homework times

Structure brings security; calm routines bring confidence.
Bringing the Family Together
Once strategies are in place, family sessions strengthen teamwork and ensure everyone is aligned. These collaborative sessions help parents, guardians and children share responsibility for ongoing progress.

Focus areas include:
-
Communication skills and shared problem-solving
-
Conflict resolution and respectful negotiation
-
Strengthening family bonds and teamwork
-
Creating a shared plan so everyone can feel heard and has a role
Families work best when everyone valued and part of the solution.

Working with schools
I also collaborate with schools and educational settings where appropriate — ensuring that support around focus, attention, and emotional regulation is consistent across home and school environments.
